Tour around NTU

Day 1 

First activity of the day was a briefing on research (what it is) and safety procedures that needs to be observed around and in the lab. About an hour was spent on it and other administrative matters. At around 1030, we met our mentors.

It all started here~

 For this two week, Dr Steve Ong and Dr Du ZeHui will be guiding me through the programmes. Today, Dr Ong gave me a tour around NTU, labs and the compound. He also talked to me about what i hoped to achieve and learn through these programme, so that he could better tailor it to suit my learning and interest.

 During lunch time, Dr Ong brought me to the canteen with the others from the lab, a really friendly bunch of people. Dr Ong's enthusiasm and hospitality made me feel like home although it is my first day in this research programme, and really got me ready to learn with an open mind for the next 2 weeks.
